"Baby Darling"
The stable foreman!

Course Times: 9am to approximately 4pm each day. Please arrive by 8:30am, ready for a 9am start. We endeavour to make the day end at 4pm however this can vary slightly on occasion. In the event of the clinic being cancelled due to very bad weather, the clinic will be rescheduled to the next available weekend that suits you.

Catering: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know at time of booking. eg; vegetarian/diabetic.

Clothing: Please bring approved helmet if you own one. Safety vests will also be required to be worn for some clinics. RD Horne Training Stables will provide these. Dress for the weather conditions and for working safely with horses. ie; riding boots, comfortable jeans or jodhpurs etc.

Insurance: All horse owners should carry their own insurance for riding and their horses (ie. public liability, mortality etc). A copy of your Certificate of insurance will be required prior to the course. If you do not carry insurance you will be required to sign a waiver stating you accept responsibility for both you and your horse’s actions during the clinic.

Age: Minimum age of participants for ridden clinics is 18 years old or 14 if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Payment: To reserve your position in the clinic, payment is required at the time of booking. Cheques or money orders should be payable to R. D. Horne Training Stables.

Prerequisite for riding clinics (except for beginner clinics): Riding students participating in the clinic should be able to saddle, mount and ride a horse at all gaits. All tack must be checked for safety prior to starting the clinic.

Horses: You may bring your own horse to participate in the clinics. Please provide details about the horse such as age, sex, started or unstarted when you are booking for a clinic. It is also useful to have information about the problems you may be having with your horse prior to the clinic.

Arrangements can also be made to provide you with a horse on request.

If you are bringing your horse, stable facilities are available on site. The cost would be $11 overnight which includes bedding and cleaning. You should bring your own food and feed bin for your horse, however hay and water bins can be provided on request.
