Rob Horne is the only Australian based
approved instructor of Monty Robert's Join-Up® method.
Join-Up® clinics are weekend courses
designed to introduce you to the language of 'Equus’ and offers
you a solid understanding of the signs and reciprocal gestures of
the language of horses. Over the course you will discover the importance
of body language, breathing, spatial awareness and the effect of
your intentions when in the presence of a horse. Beginning to understand
and create a trust-based relationship with your horse will provide
a valuable foundation for any equine discipline.
You will learn Monty's concepts through
demonstrations, discussions, video and practical hands-on exercises
and round pen work. As a student you will be familiarized with the
first steps of Monty's Join-Up® process, which teaches humans
to communicate with horses using their natural body language.
These lessons are based on groundwork with horses and do not include
any ridden exercises.
You can bring along your own horse or
use one of ours. Every participant will experience Join Ups®
with their horse.
“
I am excited to have a horseman of Rob Horne’s ability
teaching my concepts in Australia. I have personally worked
with Rob and find he has learned my concepts well and
clearly understands equine psychology.” |

Observers: The question
as to whether observers can attend or participate in the
clinics is often raised. Rob's general policy is not to include
observer participation in the Join up clinics, as observers generally
require attention via questions and answer, therefore diverting
attention from the clinic participants. This decision has been made
in the interests of providing the clinic participants maximum value
of Rob's time.
